What up what up Fortresseers… great news for those with EARS. Today we present not one, but TWO brand spanking new demos for you. Both got really dope art too so good day for those with EYES too.
STRIKEFORCE - Hardcore from the panhandle wearing the influence of early Terror, Death Threat, and No Warning on their sleeve.
DEFCON 1 - Fort Worth Coremen bringing the stylings of Sick of it All, Breakdown, and the CroMags but with a Texas HC tinge…

In other news:
• Collateral is going to London tomorrow to play DAMAGE IS DONE fest and then hitting mainland Europe after that with Graaand Scheeeeeme. Very stoked on that hoping I’ll get some dope pics and that I remember to journal some of it, maybe we’ll tell the tale in a zine or something…
• We kinda soft announced da It’s The Limit 7”, I say soft cause its tiny on this flyer and we don’t have a whole of of info yet on the timeline and what not BUT its coming, rest assured.
• Speaking of bands with straight edge fury… Dead on your Feet played their first gig recently and it looked dope as fuck videos on the feetfirst youtube i think. If any of what you see or hear there tickles your fancy, ayo, check if they’re hitting your town with Wretched Rite later this month below. Also if you ordered a tape you should have it by now, if not the band will have some copies with them for these dates:

There’s been a ton of great releases on my radar recently I wanted to shout out rq, no bs I’ll jump right into it:
Never Again - 100% New Jersey Hardcore
I always liked this band just enough but the songs on this record not only stand out from the rest of their discography but stand out from other bands trying to do the same shit. I’ve legit listened to this everyday since it dropped. Fuck it, no more unity.
Grand Scheme - EP
Love everything this band has done so far so no surprises here. More rippin hardcore tracks from the schemers.
Corrosives - Wasteland
Idk I dont know literally anyyything about this band besides I love the raw yet heavy ass production, love how evil it sounds. Idk I’m banging my head. Fuck it I’ll throw some horns up too.
Mongrel - Baptized in the Gutter
I played with this band years ago and idk if it was just the vibe of the show or something but nothing really stood out to me about it in the moment so I never checked them out again. Fast forward and I dont know I guess enough people who I share music taste with gave it high praise so I checked it and was kinda baffled at how beast it was. This record has its own vibe goin on, it’s borderline just like early 90s death metal with mosh parts, will be puttin this on when I’m puttin on some iron at my local Crunch.
Identity Shock - Traces
Maybe one of the 2020’s hc generations best live acts I gotta say… band rips ass but I really hope I can see these songs live soon cause they’re a huge level up from songs that were already great.
Afterthought - Demo
Dope nyhc from tampa, excited about this band cause its the one I’ll most likely see more often than anything else on this list due to it’s geographic proximity.
Final Resting Place - Bound by Affliction
This band is universally liked for a reason. Saw a lot of complaints about the recording quality being even SHITTIER than the previous release but I legit think that I prefer it that way, it doesn’t sound inauthentic at least. I guess this is straight up BDM that you can just mosh to but its undeniably great song writing in this lane.
Enkased - Demo
This is actually not new at all it came out last year but I revisited it recently and wanted to give it another shout cause in a world of hc bands copying each other’s favorite decade of the year, they’re truly cooking up their own weird stylings. Being that they share members with DIZTORT and APSARA, its no surprise that they’re a cut above in writing real, uncompromising hardcore songs.
